Smith Pennington

Funeral Services were held last Saturday at Buena Park, Calif., for Smith Pennington, 86, who died at his home there. Mr. Pennington was born in Louisville, Ky.  He served as Sheriff of Madison County Six years beginning Jan 1, 1918. He had made his home in California the past thirty years.

Survivors are his wife, Arizona, of the home; Lee, Mack, and Noah Pennington of Buena Park, and Johnnie, of Roseburg, Ore.; on daughter Mrs. Ada Morrison, of Anaheim, Calif.; a brother John Pennington, of Fayetteville; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Officiating at the service was Robert Carey of the Church of Christ and burial was in Loma Vista Memorial Park.

Pallbearers were grandsons: Olen, Afton, Allen, Dwayne, Carl Wayne and James Pennington, all of Fullerton and Buena Park, Calif.
